LA BAGGIO is owned by Bhavna Belani, a woman entrepreneur trained by Goldman Sachs and the University of Texas, Austin. Bhavna has over 20 years of experience in the manufacture of bags for brands all over the world.
LA BAGGIO was awarded the gold medal for design and innovation by FICCI/ UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS at the Bengal Business Summit.
In 2021 LA BAGGIO launched the cruelty free vegan leather collections – this project was included in the STANFORD SEED SPARK program in August 2021.

LA BAGGIO has a strong commitment to the empowerment of women and artisans. Our aim is to affiliate with NGOs focused on women’s causes to provide employment and other support that will change the lives of women in need.
LA BAGGIO encourages women weavers who work individually from their home or in communities in their villages where they weave the intricate designs by hand- a skill that has been passed down from generation to generation. Support of these skills will ensure the cultural vibrancy of the hand weave and assist in the empowerment of the rural artisans and their communities and support education for their children..
We are trying to make the world a better place by manufacturing products that encourage the customers to care equally about products and their production. As the culture of conscious consumerism grows, we hope people will start questioning where and how things are made before they spend their money……….
