A new kind of luxury

La Baggio is a woman-owned Indian brand crafting premium vegan leather bags, wallets, and accessories using plant-based leather made from agricultural waste. Founded in 2019 by Bhavna and Nikita Belani, the brand offers a luxurious, cruelty-free alternative to traditional leather without the plastic compromise of conventional PU.

From everyday work totes and crossbody bags to evening clutches, card holders, and corporate gifts, every piece is designed in India and finished by hand in our atelier.

From burning to earning

Across North India, farmers burn millions of tonnes of crop residue every winter, a major cause of the Delhi air pollution crisis. La Baggio works with suppliers who buy this agricultural waste before it is burned and transform it into the soft, durable, plant-based leather our products are made from.

The result is a sustainable vegan leather that is PETA-approved, free from animal cruelty, and lower in environmental impact than both animal leather and virgin plastic.
